Training material

The training material has been developed from the very beginning based on the needs of the target groups. We first assessed these needs through questionnaires and, after analyzing the results, created the framework of the material. The training material was filled in with content by the Advisory Teams in the partner countries.

This means that everything you read in the training material was suggested, written, reviewed, and compiled by the three target groups themselves. It truly contains what people living in long-term care, and those who support them, need in order to live as self-determined a life as possible.

The training material will consist of 5 modules:

Methodology

The FairCare methodology proposes a shift in perspective: it understands care as a relational process in which all involved actors (people in need of care, informal carers/family members, friends, and professional caregivers) participate as equal partners, promoting collaboration, communication, and shared learning.
FairCare offers a comprehensive training programme aimed at empowering people in need of care and support to exercise greater self-determination in the support they receive.
